| Primary Duties: | The work location is the Siouxland Family Center in Dakota City. The Teacher is responsible for understanding, planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for pre-school age children. Develop weekly lesson plans which include all Head Start components with assistance from staff and parents. Maintain updated and on-going assessments for each child. Responsible to oversee the educational aspects of the center including classroom staff and volunteers. 40 hours per week in a part year program. | Skills: | Must have High School Diploma or GED and one of the following: I. An associate, baccalaureate or advance degree in early childhood education. II. An associate, baccalaureate, or advance degree in a field related to early childhood education with experience in teaching preschool children. III. A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and working towards an associate, baccalaureate or advanced degree in early childhood education. |
