| Primary Duties: | PC Tech with strong configuration and troubleshooting skills. Particular emphasis is placed on current operating system knowledge, the ability to work independently, and strong interpersonal skills. Must work efficiently with team members in our IT department in a fast-paced, demanding environment is essential for success. Strong customer service skills are critical to success. |
| Skills: | Setup and deployment of new desktop and notebook computers, peripherals, printers, software, and other items as required. Troubleshooting, diagnosis, upgrades and repair of existing desktop and notebook computers and associated software. Providing help desk support by telephone as needed. Provide hands-on training to new users. Assisting network staff with projects as needed. Assisting remote tech staff by lending expertise as needed. Contributing to asset management efforts through use of asset database. A+ and CNA/Network + certification preferred, with strong working knowledge of current operating systems (98, 2000, XP) and strong troubleshooting skills Strong keyboarding skills. Strong communication and mathematical skills 3 to 5 years’ experience in desktop support in Microsoft environments, experience with Lotus Notes a plus. Strong working knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP/DNS/DHCP) as it relates to desktop connectivity. Strong working knowledge of standard desktop applications (MSOffice, client access, web browser) and email connectivity. Ability to interface with users at all levels of the organization in a professional and courteous manner. Strong team player who can work closely with other groups within the IT department, including network and remote staff. |
