| Primary Duties: | Location: O'Neill, South Sioux City SUMMARY: Responsible for chemical, seed, fertilizer and precision agronomy technology sales to growers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for consulting with producers and making appropriate recommendations of fertilizer, seed and chemical. Aids in and/or coordinates the processes of collecting and analyzing soil samples via conventional or grid sampling. Aids in the development and carries out the marketing plan for the Division. Generates sales of precision ag equipment and services including follow up calls. Aids in and/or coordinates field scouting on a planned basis or for trouble shooting purposes. Aids in plant and office operations during busy season. Ensures proper billing and collection of products and services sold to growers. Aids in maintaining high customer satisfaction, if problems arise to help correct them. Help in maintaining current customer base and to develop new areas of growth. Responsible for keeping up to date on all new technology and safety regulations. Maintain and promote a safe work environment. Perform all other activities as directed by the supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) from four-year college or university and/or a two year degree in a related field; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Commercial Drivers License (Class B with Hazardous Materials Endorsement),Certified Crop Advisor - desired, Nitrogen Management Certification and Chemigation License -if required. |
