The Norfolk Public Schools is a comprehensive school system offering education to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade as well as others identified with special needs. Northeast Community College is located in Norfolk. Northeast offers 70 technical, vocational, business, and liberal arts programs preparing students for immediate employment or for transfer to a four-year college or university. The Lifelong Learning Center at Northeast Community College serves the business and professional community through a variety of uses. The 20,000 square foot educational wing includes two distance learning classrooms, a computer center for software training, three standard classrooms, and the conference center that can be divided into six rooms and accommodate up to 700 people.
The distance learning programs are also unique to Nebraska with sophisticated learning available to high school students from statewide colleges and universities.
